This summer has been a summer of turn over to say the least for the Washington Wizards. With new management in place, the Wizards decided to move on from Bradley Beal and Kristaps Porzingis. Bradley Beal was traded to the Phoenix Suns and Porzingis was also traded away to the Boston Celtics

The question remained "What will the Wizards do with Kyle Kuzma?"

Kyle Kuzma has been in the same boat as Kristaps Porzingis. Kuzma had a player option. It was unsure if he would return to the Wizards. Given the Wizards recent whirlwind of moves, it was easy to believe that surely Kuzma may decide to move on to his next destination. The exact opposite was announced mid Friday afternoon. The Wizards and Kyle Kuzma have agreed on a four year, $102M deal for the star player to return to Washington.

Kyle Kuzma will be teaming up with newly acquired guard Jordan Poole who was recently acquired in a trade. The two will form a nice and dynamic pairing in Washington. Poole was playing next to a big three in Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson in Golden State so it’s safe to say he was being held back with the Warriors. Kyle Kuzma was in a similar situation playing alongside Bradley Beal and Kristaps Porzingis. They both will have a larger role and have the ball in their hands a lot more next season so we can expect a lot more from them both next season. Bringing back Kyle Kuzma may have been the best offseason move by the Wizards thus far.
