Wizards Should Keep An Eye On Former All Star Free Agent
When you look at the Washington Wizards starting lineup or even entire roster and team, one thing you notice that is missing is interior scoring. Yes, while the NBA nowadays is centered around shooting threes, having a paint presence down low is still something valuable to have. You don’t necessarily have to use and utilize it every trip down the floor. However, it’s nice to have it as an option and to be able to add it into your arsenal of attack.
The real beauty is when that paint presence of interior scoring comes with a few perks. You can look at Nikola Jokic for example. Sure, he is dominant down low. But he also is dominant on the perimeter, putting the ball on the floor and attacking the basket, and of course in his playmaking abilities. When a big can score down low and stretch the floor, that really opens things up for a team.
Demarcus “Boogie” Cousins has been trying to find a new home for awhile now in the NBA. For some reasons, teams are refusing to take a chance on the former all star. The Washington Wizards should be the team to do so. The real question is why?
The Wizards are a team who are restructuring their roster. In life today, we see a lot of entrepreneurs flipping houses. They buy and take on homes that no one seems to want, raise their value, and then go on to sell that house for double, sometimes triple the original market value. Boogie Cousins would have a huge opportunity of playing time with this Washington Wizards both as a starter and a reserve. He would help them win and be successful. Other teams that didn’t want him before would be calling Will Dawkins and the Washington Wizards daily to acquire Demarcus Cousins.
While many buyers may not have had interest in the house before it was fixed up, they certainly are running to place their offer once they see the beauty in the home. Boogie Cousins would be in the same boat. The Wizards should absolutely keep an eye on this former all star.
