McNabb enters his 10th season in Philadelphia having amassed the most wins by a starting quarterback in franchise history with 73.
The 31-year-old quarterback is the franchise's all-time leader in completions (2,189) and ranks second only to Ron Jaworski in TDs (171), passing yards (25,404) and attempts (3,732).
A five-time Pro Bowl selection, McNabb has also scrambled for 2,962 yards during his pro career.
McNabb is the lone player in NFL history to finish a season with more than 30 touchdowns and less than 10 interceptions, when the Chicago native finished with 31 TDs and eight interceptions in 2004.
Despite setting a team record by leading the Eagles to seven playoff victories, McNabb hasn't won in the postseason since the 2004 NFC Championship Game.
Five years after graduating from Syracuse with a degree in speech communications, McNabb became the youngest person ever named to the school's Board of Trustees.
McNabb ranks first among active passers in interception percentage, averaging just 2.12 picks for every 100 pass attempts. He ranks second on the all-time list to Neil O'Donnell (2.11).
Having closed the 2007 season with three straight victories, McNabb and the Eagles enter the '08 campaign with a sense of optimism and confidence.
In a Week 3 meeting with the Lions this past season, McNabb completed 21-of-26 passes for four touchdowns and zero interceptions to post a perfect 158.3 passer rating in a 56-21 rout.
