Luck has been ranked No. 1 in SI's Heisman Watch every week this season, and it's obvious why. He's been talked about as the No. 1 prospect in the 2012 NFL Draft since he decided to come back for his junior season at Stanford after winning the Orange Bowl. His talent is undeniable. Where he'll play on Sundays is unknown.

Indianapolis Colts (0-10)

QBs signed through 2012: Peyton Manning, Curtis Painter, Kerry Collins Painter hasn't had any better luck than Collins and the Colts are still winless without Manning this season. Manning is 35 years old, four years older than John Elway was when the Broncos used a first-round pick on Tommy Maddox. Owner Jim Irsay told Yahoo! Sports the team would consider drafting Luck.

Miami Dolphins (2-7)

QBs signed through 2012: Matt Moore The Dolphins were rumored to be a trade partner for the Broncos' Kyle Orton before the season. They instead turned to Moore to back up free-agent-to-be Chad Henne. Henne's out for the season after shoulder surgery and may have played his last snap as a Dolphin. Moore is by no means a franchise quarterback, leaving Miami as a likely suitor for a new signal caller come next year.

St. Louis Rams (2-7)

QBs signed through 2012: Sam Bradford Despite a surprising upset of the New Orleans Saints, the Rams have failed to live up to considerable preseason hype. Most point to poor pass protection and piling injuries for their winless start. Sam Bradford, the No. 1 overall pick in 2010, has been hit so many times he's missed two games due to an injured throwing hand. St. Louis could draft Luck, but the Rams may have already found their quarterback of the future in Bradford, the 2010 NFL Offensive rookie of the year.

Minnesota Vikings (2-7)

QBs signed through 2012: Christian Ponder They're record puts them in the hunt, but would they really give up on rookie first rounder Christian Ponder?

Carolina Panthers (2-7)

QBs signed through 2012: Cam Newton Had Luck entered the 2011 draft, the Panthers would have selected him first overall instead of Newton in all likelihood. An impressive rookie season, however, makes Cam the clear-cut quarterback of Carolina's future.

Arizona Cardinals (3-6)

QBs signed through 2012: Kevin Kolb, John Skelton The Cardinals gave Kolb a five-year, $63.5 million contract after acquiring him from the Eagles in the offseason. It's been a bumpy ride so far. Kolb was actually pulled late from Week 5's loss to the Vikings. Still, the Cardinals have so much invested in the 27-year-old Kolb that they may not consider a quarterback, even at No. 1 overall.

Seattle Seahawks (3-6)

QBs signed through 2012: Tavaris Jackson Tavaris Jackson and Charlie Whitehurst have both seen action for the Seahawks. Neither has had much success in Pete Carroll's offense and while some expected Seattle to take a quarterback in the 2011 draft, the Seahawks may have been waiting a year to select their quarterback of the future.

Long Shots

Washington Redskins (3-6) -- Neither Rex Grossman nor John Beck has looked like the answer in Washington. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-6) -- If Jack Del Rio gets the ax would it also be the end of the Blaine Gabbert era in Jacksonville? Cleveland Browns (3-6) -- Cleveland would have to lose more games and give up on Colt McCoy to draft Luck. Philadelphia Eagles (3-6) -- The team, which is better than its record shows, committed to Michael Vick with a six-year, $100 million contract in the offseason.
