For the second time in four weeks, the Tennessee Titans had to turn to Matt Hasselbeck at quarterback after an injury to Jake Locker.

This time around, Locker took a huge hit as he dropped back to pass and Houston safety Glover Quin came through unblocked on a blitz ([si_launchNFLPopup video='fe04e32a661142fb8daebadb653b42f7']click here to watch[/si_launchNFLPopup]). Quin buried his helmet into Locker's right (throwing) shoulder, and Locker's hand also appeared to strike Quin's helmet as he tried to get rid of the football. The Titans, though, announced that Locker was questionable to return with a left shoulder injury. (Update: Locker was seen on the Titans' sideline in a sling, a good indication that he will not return.)

That's worrisome because Locker also left Tennessee's Week 1 game with a left shoulder ailment -- he suffered that initial injury trying to make a tackle after a Titans fumble (the play was eventually overturned by replay).

Hasselbeck completed 6 of 11 passes for 43 yards in his Week 1 relief role, which came during a 34-13 loss to the Patriots. Locker was 0 for 2 prior to leaving Sunday's game, and the Titans trailed Houston 7-0 at the time of the injury. Of course, Hasselbeck was the Titans' starter last year, with the Titans giving Locker, the second-year man, the starting job this preseason.
