The Cardinals host their first ever NFC Championship game and defeat the Philadelphia Eagles 32-25. The Cardinals became the second team in NFL history, and the first one in 29 years, to advance to the Super Bowl with a 9-7 record.

While it may be a painful memory for Cardinals fans, the first Super Bowl in team history was an exciting one. Kurt Warner found Larry Fitzgerald on a 64-yard post route to give Arizona a 23-20 lead with 2:37 remaining in Super Bowl 43. It was Arizona's first lead of the game.
