Fantasy Football Sleeper Picks: Week 16

Last week against the Vikings, Bradford set a new personal best with 377 passing yards. He also threw three touchdowns with no interceptions in a game for the first time. Tampa Bay has given up more than 300 yards passing in three of its last four games and nine times overall this season.

There's something magical going on in the Pacific Northwest, and the rookie quarterback is right at the center of it. The 49ers had Wilson's number when the two teams played in mid-October at Candlestick, holding Wilson to just 9-of-23 passing for 122 yards and three runs for 10 yards. Since then, however, Wilson has been responsible for 16 touchdowns in seven games. He has been especially effective at home with a 12:1 touchdown-to-turnover ratio.

Last week, while serving as Indy's primary back, Ballard ran for a career-high 105 yards on just 18 carries, joining Chris Johnson as the only 100-yard backs Houston has allowed all season. The Chiefs gave up a whopping 199 yards on 43 carries to Oakland's Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson in Week 15 and have allowed 100 yards or more on the ground in five of the seven games played at Arrowhead this season. That should be music to Ballard's ears.

With both teams heading to the golf course at the conclusion of Week 17, and with Daniel Thomas probably headed for injured reserve, don't be surprised to see Miami coach Joe Philbin take a long look at explosive rookie Miller, especially against a Bills team that has given up the fifth most rushing yards in the NFL.

With two weeks to go, San Diego finds itself back where it was for the season's first two weeks: trying to replace Ryan Mathews, who's now sidelined by a broken collarbone. The first time around Battle filled in by scoring four touchdowns in the season's first four games. He'll again split carries with Ronnie Brown and Curtis Brinkley, though Brown is banged up. As the goal-line back against a Jets team that has allowed 13 touchdowns (fifth in the NFL) to running backs in 14 games, Battle should get the nod for owners desperate enough to turn to the Chargers for a flex option or those in a touchdown-only league.

Tom Brady and Co. should be breathing fire following a crushing defeat at the hands of the 49ers. Unfortunately for the undermanned Jaguars, they're in the way. With just two regular-season games to go, Stevan Ridley's backup will see more than his fair share of the workload.

The PPR machine was thrown back into the free-agent player pool in nearly half of all fantasy leagues when his health was an issue. But now, coming off of a six-catch, 12-target game and facing the Bucs' soft secondary, Amendola is a perfect flex option for any league finalist.

Cooper has been responsible for half (two) of the Eagles' offensive touchdowns scored over the last 10 quarters. He hasn't caught a pass longer than 23 yards this season and has just 16 yards after the catch over his last three games, but Cooper has been a regular target for Nick Foles in the past and should be in his quarterback's sights again this week against the Redskins.

Chances are you don't want to put your championship fortunes in the hands of a receiver who has just two catches since Oct. 15 and none in the last four games. But with Malcom Floyd done for the year and the Jets likely to be packing it in after being eliminated from the playoffs, it wouldn't be a shock to see the ex-Saint have a solid day.

AFC North tight ends have had their way with the Broncos this season, with Jermaine Gresham, Heath Miller and Dennis Pitta already accounting for two 100-yards games and three touchdowns against the AFC West champs. This week it's Watson's turn against the defense that has allowed an NFL-high 11 touchdowns to tight ends.
