Jarvis Jones Selected No. 17 by Pittsburgh Steelers

Georgia DE/OLB Jarvis Jones was an absolute force in the SEC during his career, but concerns about his repertoire as a pass rusher and (more importantly) spinal stenosis in his back helped drive him down the board.
Since nobody wanted him in the top half of Round 1, the Steelers happily grabbed him at No. 17 and will plug him on the outside of their 3-4. And, if the Steelers' success in the draft has taught us anything, Jones probably will churn out double-digit sacks and make life tough for offenses right away.
The Steelers have Lamaar Woodley and Jason Worilds on the outside, but James Harrison's departure for Cincinnati left them thinner than they would have liked. Jones figures to compete with Worilds for playing time; at the very least, he should see situational work as a pass rusher.
Maybe the injury worries play out and make this a bust pick. If not, Jones will fit in well in Pittsburgh.
