No picks made in NFL Supplemental Draft

The NFL's Supplemental Draft came and went Thursday without a pick being made, the first time that's occurred since 2008. There were six players eligible this year: WRs O.J. Ross and Dewayne Peace; defensive linemen James Boyd, Nate Holloway and Toby Jackson; and defensive back Damond Smith.

The wide receivers -- and especially Ross -- were believed to have the best shot at enticing a team to surrender a 2014 draft pick for them. Both should find their way into NFL training camps later this month.

Smith may now circle back and sign with the Green Bay Packers, which is what he did following the NFL Draft in April. However, the NFL then ruled that Smith was ineligible for the initial draft (and thus unable to sign with a team at the time) and had to enter the Supplemental Draft.
