Richard Sherman doesn't want to overshadow his teammates in advance of the Super Bowl.

Remember Richard Sherman? The bombastic Seattle Seahawks' cornerback who stole headlines after the NFC title game?

Well, that guy wasn't at Super Bowl Media Day. As Peter King detailed in this week's Monday Morning Quarterback, Sherman arrived in New York with an air of restraint. That continued on Tuesday.

"I think these cameras should go to my teammates," Sherman told the horde of reporters lined up at his podium at the Prudential Center. "I think that what happened after the game, the situation that occurred, forced them to be around me and forced everybody’s attention, but I think I have the best teammates in the world. Doug Baldwin had a heck of a game, and he’s a heck of a receiver, and has the stats to prove it. I think that these cameras could be anywhere. They could be on all my teammates, and they deserve it.”

SHERMAN: Here's what last week has taught me

Sherman detailed the postgame incident, saying that he could have handled things better.

“Last week I felt like I regretted just attacking a man --attacking it and taking away from my teammates. You never want to talk down on a man to build yourself up and things like that. So I regretted that, and I regretted taking that attention away from my teammates. That’s the one thing that I wish I could do again," he said.

Given that it was Media Day, the questions weren't limited to sports. At one point, a female reporter asked Sherman about athletes who "make it rain" at strip clubs (you can see the question below via The Big Lead). Not missing a beat, Sherman responded "I've never gone in a strip club and thrown money, so I couldn't tell you."

And, to cap off the day, Sherman tweeted this fantastic photo. Well done, sir.
