Aqib Talib, one of the top defensive free agents of 2014, is close to re-signing with the New England Patriots, according to reports.
Yesterday the Washington Post reported that the Redskins were interested in signing Talib.
"He long had been regarded as one of Washington’s top free agent targets. He has ties to people within Washington’s organization, having played for secondary coach Raheem Morris while in Tampa Bay, and Redskins General Manager Bruce Allen drafted Talib when he held the same position with the Buccaneers in 2008."
NBC's Washignton reporter Dianna Russini tweeted earlier that Talib looks like he will stay put in New England for a third season.
