The New York Jets have been working to add weapons to their offense in order to help out quarterback Geno Smith, and they are swinging for some big names early in NFL free agency.

On Wednesday, the team brought in Eric Decker for a visit, but they already appear to be setting up a back up plan.

If Decker leaves New York without a deal, the Jets are ready to focus on Green Bay Packers free agent receiver James Jones, who is reportedly generating "real interest" from the team but has yet to set up a visit.

If the Jets can add Jones, who will be turning 30-years-old this month, they will still need to search for a true No. 1 receiver in this year's draft. However, he would still represent a vast improvement over their current receiving corp that includes Jeremy Kerley, David Nelson and Stephen Hill.
