Louisville Cardinals quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was once considered the consensus No. 1 quarterback in the 2014 NFL draft class, but he has recently seen some competition for the top spot from UCF's Blake Bortles and Johnny Manziel of Texas A&M.
Bridgewater is considered an NFL-ready prospect and he's received praise for his ability to take care of the ball and make smart decisions, but one former NFL scout believes that Bridgewater lacks true star power.
Former NFL scout John Middlekauff recently shared his thoughts that Bridgewater is not worthy of a top-10 selection.
He is solid, will be a starter, I just wouldnt pull the trigger in the top 10 “@_Gregory_A: What do you think of Bridgewater in the NFL?”

There is a chance that some teams could prefer the quarterbacks with more upside at the next level and pass on Bridgewater, which would trigger a slide on draft day and possibly allow him to slip outside of the top 10.
