The Carolina Panthers and Oakland Raiders are among the teams reportedly against trading for Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson, but there is still plenty of interest in the speedy wide receiver around the league.
The San Francisco 49ers were one of the teams who were initially not interested in Jackson, but now the reports are doing a 180.
According to Pro Football Talk, the 49ers are "very interested" in acquiring Jackson from the Eagles despite a public denial from general manager Trent Baalke. By picking up Jackson, the 49ers would be able to add a deep threat to their offensive attack that would complement Michael Crabtree and Anquan Boldin.
The Eagles are hoping to land at least a third-round pick for Jackson, and while that may seem like a steep price tag for a receiver that has been known to be a head case, Jackson is a true game-changer who is coming off the best season of his career. He set personal bests in catches -- 82 -- and receiving yards -- 1,332 -- while tying a career high in receiving touchdowns with nine.
