Veteran running back Maurice Jones-Drew has watched the market for his services pick up over the past few days, but it appears he still could be weeks away from deciding where to play in 2014.
Jones-Drew reportedly believes he is still worth more than $3 million per year, despite his declining skill set and the mileage on his body. And according to the New York Post, Jones-Drew "might be willing to wait until late in the summer or even into the season as an injury replacement if teams aren’t willing to meet his price."
Jones-Drew's agent is expected to meet with several teams this week in Orlando at the NFL owners' meetings. One one of the interested parties is said to be the New York Jets, while the Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers also are reportedly interested.
