NFL-NFLPA meeting to focus on workplace conduct

The NFL and NFL Players Association will meet on Tuesday in New York City to discuss a number of topics from around the league. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the focus of the meeting will be to discuss workplace conduct.

"[We've been] talking about what ... we need to do to make sure we have a workplace we're all proud of," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said last month at the NFL's annual meeting. "And those have been very productive, and this will be an important meeting with the union."

The workplace conduct discussion likely comes about as a result of the Miami Dolphins incident last season that forced offensive tackle Jonathan Martin to leave the team following constant harassment and bullying from fellow offensive linemen Richie Incognito, John Jerry and Mike Pouncey.

The league has made a point of moving quickly to address issues deemed detrimental to its image, and cracking down on the way players handle themselves in the locker room is something that Goodell will push hard for teams to clean up.
