Did Buffalo Bills leak they'll be playing Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving?

While we know some of the particulars of the 2014 NFL schedule, there's still plenty we don't know. We might have a better indication of what's going to take place on Thanksgiving Day, however, thanks to a not-so-subtle leak from the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills have posted a list of things to know about their 2014 opponents to the team website, a list that includes the Detroit Lions, who will play their annual Thanksgiving Day game against an AFC opponent this year if the NFL continues its regular rotation between the two conferences.

That very well could be the date the Buffalo Bills visit the Lions, as the Bills official website briefly mentioned how often the two teams have matched up on the popular holiday in the past:

Buffalo and Detroit will meet for the 10th time in the regular season in 2014. The Bills have played in eight previous Thanksgiving Day games (4-4) in team history with their last appearance on Turkey Day coming in 1994.

There has not been any confirmation from the NFL, the Buffalo Bills or the Detroit Lions that the teams are scheduled for a Thanksgiving Day game, but that little piece of trivia would be an odd thing to include in the post without any context behind it.

If it proves to be true, Bills defensive coordinator and former Lions head coach Jim Schwartz will be making his first NFL-related return to Detroit since he was fired at the end of the 2013 season.
