Arian Foster may very well be out for the rest of the 2013 season.

Of all the players trying to bounce back from injury in 2014 (Reggie Wayne, Rob Gronkowski, Jeremy Maclin), the biggest name among running backs is Arian Foster, who said recently that his November back surgery was not as major as it sounded.

Foster injured his back in a Nov. 3 game against Indianapolis and underwent microscopic lumbar discectomy surgery by Dr. Robert Watkins a few weeks later.

"I can tell you the surgery wasn't as major as it sounded," said Foster, via Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman. "That's why I rebounded so quickly. I also worked my ass off. I'm expecting to do bigger things and bounce back."

Foster said back in mid-March that he has been medically cleared to return, so the Texans can expect him back for offseason workouts.

Prior to his shortened season, Foster had surpassed 1,200 yards and 10 touchdowns in each of the previous three seasons. He closed out 2013 with 542 yards rushing on 121 carries with one touchdown and 22 receptions with another score.
