Before the 2014 NFL draft, Jerry Rice Jr. joined a handful of potential draftees who worked out for the San Francisco 49ers during their local pro day.
Rice received positive reviews from San Francisco head coach Jim Harbaugh, but the receiver-needy 49ers passed on his Hall of Fame bloodlines in the draft. Rice never broke through for consistent playing time in college and was lightly regarded as a potential draft prospect.
One team who may not pass on signing Rice is the Baltimore Ravens, who will host the wide receiver for a three-day tryout this weekend, according to a Fox Sports report.

Rice walked onto the UCLA football team in 2009 before transferring to UNLV, where he hauled in 11 receptions and a touchdown in 11 games last season.
Clearly, those numbers weren't enough to get him drafted, but his pedigree may be enough to find him a spot on an NFL practice roster.
