Now 29, Reggie Bush wants to play at least five more years and retire as a Detroit Lion

We've already heard that Reggie Bush wants to play at minimum another five years in the NFL, but will those seasons be spent with the Detroit Lions?

If Bush has his way, they will be.

Speaking to Pro Football Talk on NBCSN, the veteran running back stated a love for Motown and insinuated that he's not interested in continually moving around as his career enters the downward slope.

“I want to stay here, I want to retire here and I’d love to retire as a Detroit Lion,” Bush told Erik Kuselias.  “I don’t want to bounce around from city to city, from team to team.  I think I have something good going here, have been really getting to know the city over the past year and just really looking forward to bringing a championship here someday and making history.”

After stints with the New Orleans Saints and Miami Dolphins, Bush has found a home with the Lions, though you have to wonder how mutual the interest will be in retaining Bush as he ages.

Currently 29, Bush is embarking on the years where many NFL running backs begin to notice a steady decline in play. Add in that Bush's game is built off speed and agility more than power (and a history of fragility), and you have to wonder if that will age him even quicker than a prototypical back.
