Bills linebacker Kiko Alonso suffered a torn ACL on Tuesday while he was working out in Oregon and is expected to miss the upcoming season, ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted. General Manager Doug Whaley said in a statement that he thinks the injury "may be significant," the team tweeted.
The second-year linebacker out of Oregon, who finished second in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting, played in every snap in his first year and was a big part of the team's defense, which ranked No. 10 overall in the league. A timetable of seven to nine months is typical for this kind of injury.
