Richard Sherman on Michael Crabtree: I hope to 'choke him out'
The saga between Richard Sherman and Michael Crabtree isn't over.
On the premiere of Discovery Channel's American Muscle, Sherman said thathe wants to play Crabtree "every year for the rest of my career and choke him out," according to USA Today's For The Win.
“It’s much more of just I don’t like the dude,” Sherman says in the episode, which was viewed early by For The Win. “You know what I’m saying. And I think he’s sorry. So it’s really what it comes down to.”
The most prominent spat between Crabtree and Sherman took place after the Seahawks defeated the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game - when Sherman called Crabtree a "sorry receiver" - but the feud reportedly dates back to a charity event hosted by Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald last summer, when Crabtree tried to start a fight with Sherman.
Sherman came out ahead in the last edition of the rivalry, tipping a pass intended for Crabtree to clinch the NFC Championship. Crabtree and the 49ers will get at least two more chances for revenge this upcoming season, however: The two division rivals play one another in Week 13 and Week 15.
