The National Football League should "work hard" toward establishing a franchise in London by the end of the decade, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft said Thursday.

"I can see the kind of reception we got there," Kraft said of New England's visit to the United Kingdom in 2012, according to NFL.com's Marc Sessler. "... I would not be disappointed, and I would also believe that we should work hard to try and have a franchise in London before the decade was out."

The NFL will hold three games in London this upcoming season, a signal of increasing interest in overseas expansion. Kraft's comments came on a panel with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, and they also talked about the possibility of the NFL adding a team in Los Angeles.

"We would like to do that. We think there's a great opportunity to be successful (in Los Angeles)," Goodell said, according to NFL.com. "I think opportunity's starting to develop, maybe in part because we have that long-term planning in front of us."
