Denver Broncos safety T.J. Ward's assault hearing has been delayed until Aug. 4, the Associated Press reports.
Ward had a warrant out for his arrest after an incident at Denver's PT's All Nude Club in May. Ward is accused of throwing a glass mug at a female bartender when he was asked to dispose of a bottle he brought into the club.
The 27-year-old appeared in a Denver courtroom Tuesday, but his attorney asked for more time because of new evidence.
Ward signed a four-year, $22.5 million deal with the Broncos during the offseason.
