Report: Redskins defensive end Jason Hatcher to start camp on PUP list
Jason Hatcher, who the Washington Redskinssigned to a four-year, $27.5 million deal this offseason, will start training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list, reports ESPN 980.
Hatcher underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on June 19, after the team's mini camp. His recovery timetable was four to six weeks. After Hatcher experienced swelling and soreness in his knee, an MRI revealed that he needed the procedure to clear out cartilage in the knee.
Hatcher will be joined on the PUP list by fellow defensive end Stephen Bowen, who underwent microfracture surgery last season.

Hatcher, 32, got $10.5 guaranteed in the deal he signed with Washington. He had a career year last season with the Dallas Cowboys, recording 11 sacks and forcing two fumbles in 15 games.
Players on the PUP list can attend meetings but cannot practice. They can be removed from the list at any time during training camp.
