Giants running back David Wilson will "need a miracle" to return to the field from his latest injury, NJ.com's Jordan Raanan and Conor Orr report.

Wilson, who had spinal fusion surgery in January, suffered a "burner" during practice on Tuesday.

Raanan and Orr report the Giants are expecting Wilson's career to be over.

In the meantime, both sides will wait until Monday's examination for an official determination, although it sounds as if the Giants have come to grips with the seriousness of the condition and the possibility that Wilson's career is over.

Wilson will meet on Monday with Dr. Frank Cammisa, who performed his surgery in January. Wilson's posts on Twitter and Instagram Wednesday contrast NJ.com's report.

Left practice early yesterday but everything turned out to be fine once the Dr. Looked @ me plus I passed all physical examination. I find out more on Monday
