Bernard Pollard 'disgusted' by Titans defense in preseason opener
The Tennessee Titans won their preseason opener over the Green Bay Packers on Saturday 20-16, but Titans safety Bernard Pollard was not happy with his defense's effort, saying it has to be "a whole lot better," according to The Tennessean.
The Titans gave up two touchdowns, including an opening 64-yard drive by Packers backup quarterback Matt Flynn.
"It was all our mistakes, and you can't have days like that,'' Pollard said. "It's on us. If we're going to take this league over, and if we're going to dominate the way we want to, we have to be consistent. Watching that film, we were disgusted by it."
Pollard said that the game was the defense's first time together as a unit, but added "that's not an excuse."
