Ray Rice leaves Ravens preseason game early with shoulder injury
Ravens running back Ray Rice left Saturday's preseason game vs. Dallas with a shoulder injury.
The 27-year-old is set to serve a two-game suspension during the regular season after a grand jury indicted him on third-degree aggravated assault for an incident involving his wife, who was then his fiancee, in February.
Rice was seen having his shoulder examined by team doctors on Saturday night after being hit on the left shoulder by JJ Wilcox during a 15-yard run. Jeff Zrebiec of The Baltimore Sun tweeted that x-rays on his shoulder are negative.
The Ravens play next on Aug. 23 against the Redskins before kicking off the regular season on Sept. 7 at home vs. the Bengals.
