Colts WR Reggie Wayne on return from ACL tear: 'I'm in the bullpen'
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne says he wants to play in Saturday's preseason game against the New Orleans Saints, according to a report from The Indianapolis Star.
Wayne has not appeared in a game since tearing the ACL in his right knee in an October game against the Denver Broncos.
Head coach Chuck Pagano said earlier this week that the receiver would be a game-time decision.
"I'm expecting you guys to tell me,''
Wayne said
. "I haven't heard anything.
"Like I told you, I'm in the bullpen, waiting for them to pick up the phone and tell me to come in.''

Wayne, 35, caught 38 passes for 503 yards last season before sustaining the injury. His (not active) streak of 189 consecutive regular season games is the longest by an active receiver.
The Colts open the regular season Sept. 7 against the Broncos.
