Donovan McNabb says Nick Foles isn't a franchise quarterback
Former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and current FOX NFL analyst Donovan McNabb said on Tuesday that the team’s current signal-caller Nick Foles isn’t a franchise quarterback.
McNabb was asked on 97.5 The Fanatic about his thoughts on the subject.
“I really can’t answer that at this particular point, but if I had to give a take, I would say no. I think what he will do, he won’t do what he did last year, that just won’t happen. I see him more being a 25-touchdown, maybe eight, maybe 10-interception guy," McNabb said.
The MMQB’s 2014 Predictions Extravaganza
Foles completed 64 percent of his passes last year, throwing for 27 touchdown passes, including an NFL-tying seven in one game last November. His 119.2 quarterback rating in 2013 was the third-highest in league history.
“Everybody is entitled to their opinion. I haven’t earned anything yet,” Foles said. “It’s a week-to-week thing. My job is to go out there and play to the best of my ability.”
