Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy has been cleared to play in Sunday’s game against the New York Jets, the team announced Thursday.

Lacy hasn't practiced since he sustained a concussion in Green Bay’s 36-16 loss to Seattle last Thursday. He had to go through the NFL's concussion protocol and be cleared by an independent neurologist before being allowed to return.

The running back returned to the field on Thursday and had a "normal practice," according to the Packers coach Mike McCarthy.

NFL odds: Eagles visit Luck, favored Colts; more Week 2 lines

Lacy had 12 carries for 34 yards in the season-opening loss to Seattle.
