Report: Dolphins linebackers Koa Misi, Phillip Wheeler out against Bills
Miami Dolphins linebackers Koa Misi and Phillip Wheeler will miss Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills due to injuries, reports the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero.
Misi injured his ankle in Miami's Week 1 win over the New England Patriots and was forced to leave the game. Wheeler missed the game against the Patriots because of a thumb injury. According to the report, both could return as soon as Miami's game against the Kansas City Chiefs next week.
ROSENBERG: An arrogant Goodell must go
The Dolphins were already without middle linebacker Dannell Ellerbe, who was placed on injured reserve Monday due to a hip injury he sustained against New England. The team will now be without all three of its starting linebackers against the Bills, who rushed for 193 yards against the Chicago Bears in Week 1.
Jason Trusnik is expected to start for Ellerbe against Buffalo, while Jelani Jenkins and Jonathan Freeny are expected to start at outside linebacker. The trio helped hold the Patriots scoreless in the second half in Week 1.
Rookie Chris McCain, who blocked a punt and had a sack against the Patriots, has missed practice the last two days due to illness and a hip injury but is expected to play Sunday.
