Tampa Bay Buccaneers left guard Logan Mankins and running back Doug Martin returned to practice on Thursday, according to a report from Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune.

The pair missed Wednesday's practice session with knee injuries sustained during the team's home-opening loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

Mankins, a six-time Pro Bowler entering his 10th season, was traded to the Buccaneers by the Patriots in August. Martin, who left Sunday's game after nine carries, is entering his third year with Tampa Bay. Martin amassed 1,454 yards and 11 touchdowns on 319 carries during his rookie season in 2012, but during an injury-shortened 2013 season he played six games, carrying 127 times for one touchdown and 456 yards. Earlier this week, Tampa Bay coach Lovie Smith said Martin's knee injury was "minor."

The Buccaneers will host the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.
