San Diego Chargers vs. Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills will host the San Diego Chargers on Sunday in a Week 3 NFL matchup. Buffalo is 2-0 this season with wins over the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins, while San Diego is 1-1 after losing to the Arizona Cardinals and defeating reigning Super Bowl winner Seattle Seahawks last week.

Bills facts:

No. 2 draft pick Sammy Watkins caught his first career touchdown against Miami. He had eight receptions for 117 yards to lead the team.

The Bills never trailed in the win over the Dolphins and held Miami scoreless in three of four quarters.

Through two games, Buffalo has just one turnover - an interception thrown by quarterback E.J. Manuel against the Bears.

The Bills have lost the time of possession battle in both of their first two games this season.

Manuel completed 16-of-26 passes for 202 yards and a touchdown last week.

Buffalo scored just once in six red zone trips against the Dolphins.

C.J. Spiller scored on a 102-yard kickoff return on the team's first touch of the ball in the third quarter in Week 2.

The Bills are one of four remaining undefeated AFC teams.

Buffalo is off to an early one game lead in the AFC East. The Bills have the longest playoff drought in the NFL; they have not made the playoffs since 1999. 

The Bills also have not finished with a .500 record or better since 2004.

Chargers facts:

San Diego has not faced Buffalo since 2011, a game the Chargers won at home, 37-10.

Last week, the Chargers handled Seattle its first loss since Dec. 22, 2013, snapping a five-game winning streak.

Quarterback Philip Rivers completed 28-of-37 passes for 284 yards and three touchdowns against the Seahawks. He was only sacked once.

Wide receiver Antonio Gates also had three touchdowns, finishing with 96 yards on seven catches. Gates had not had three receiving touchdowns in one game since 2005, and he only had four total last season.

San Diego has one total turnover through two games. 

Offensively, the Chargers and Bills are nearly equal in average total yards this season. Buffalo is averaging 337.5 yards, while San Diego is averaging 333.5. 

Rivers is averaging 257 passing yards through two games, which ranks No. 8 in the NFL. 

San Diego running back Ryan Mathews reportedly sustained a sprained MCL against the Seahawks and could miss a month or more.

The Chargers are four-for-six in scoring during trips to the Red Zone this season.

After having just 52 rushing yards in Week 1, San Diego nearly doubled the number with 101 rushing yards last week.
