Radisson, a Minnesota-based hotel chain, has suspended its sponsorship of the Minnesota Vikings in wake of child injury allegations against Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, the chain announced on Monday

Peterson was indicted on Friday on a felony charge of injury to a child for hitting his four-year old son with a tree branch as a method of discipline. The Vikings deactivated him for  Sunday's game, but released a statement Monday saying the running back will practice this week and is expected to play this Sunday.

Vikings forum shuts down over team's handling of Adrian Peterson

The hotel's statement:

Radisson takes this matter very seriously particularly in light of our long-standing commitment to the protection of children. We are closely following the situation and effective immediately, Radisson is suspending its limited sponsorship of the Minnesota Vikings while we evaluate the facts and circumstances.

Peterson: 'I am, without a doubt, not a child abuser'

According to a KHOU 11 report released Monday, Peterson was investigated for a separate child injury accusation in June involving a different four-year-old son, which allegedly left the boy with a scar on his forehead. No charges were filed.
