Report: Rex Ryan 'confident' Eric Decker, Dee Milliner play Monday
Jets head coach Rex Ryan is "confident" that wide receiver Eric Decker and cornerback Dee Milliner will be ready to go for New York's Week 3 matchup at home vs. the Bears on Monday, according to a report Wednesday night from Jane McManus of ESPN.
The news comes despite Decker sitting out Wednesday's practice with a lingering hamstring injury. He sustained the injury in the third quarter of the Jets' 31-24 loss at Green Bay on Sunday. It was an injury he was just getting over after dealing with it throughout training camp.
Milliner had a high ankle sprain but played through the loss to Green Bay.
From Ryan in the report:
“Both of those guys we will see how they progress,” Ryan said. “They were not practicing today, but we will see how they do. We’re confident that they will be ready. We know that they are going to work to get out there. I’m confident, we’ll see how it goes during the week, but I should say I guess I’m hopeful that they will play.”
