Roger Goodell to hold press conference Friday afternoon
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will be speaking publicly at 3 p.m. on Friday to talk about the league’s recent domestic violence issues. He has not spoken about the issue for more than a week.
Critics have urged Goodell to address the topic after a series of domestic violence and child abuse cases have made the news.

Goodell had previously been criticized for initially giving Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice a two-game suspension for punching his then-fiancée Janay Palmer in an Atlantic City casino elevator. The NFL suspended Rice indefinitely after a video of Rice and Palmer surfaced.
Goodell announced earlier Friday that all NFL personnel will have educational sessions on domestic violence and sexual assault within the next 30 days.
