Rams QB Austin Davis expected to start against Cowboys

Rams QB Austin Davis is expected to start Sunday against the Cowboys, reports the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The start would be Davis' second in a row. Rams' backup quarterback Shaun Hill injured his quadriceps during the team's 34-6 opening-week loss to the Vikings. The Rams first-string QB, Sam Bradford, is out for the season with a torn ACL.

Davis was initially signed as a free agent by the Rams in 2012 after going undrafted. He rejoined St. Louis in October 2013 after a stint with the Miami Dolphins practice squad. Davis completed 22 of 29 passes for 235 yards in St. Louis' week two win over Tampa Bay.
