Buffalo Bills cornerback Ron Brooks was released from a Detroit-area hospital on Monday after suffering a neck injury in the first quarter of Sunday's win over the Detroit Lions.
Brooks suffered the injury while covering a punt in the first quarter. A hit to Brooks' legs caused him to flip frontward before landing on his helmet. Brooks was then carted to the locker room.
Brooks, 25, has recorded six tackles as a reserve over six games this season. The Bills selected him in the fourth round of the 2012 draft.
Buffalo (3-2) hosts the New England Patriots on Sunday.
