49ers LB Patrick Willis taken out of St. Louis game with toe injury
San Francisco 49ers inside linebacker Patrick Willis was taken out of his team's game Monday against the St. Louis Rams. He will not return, the 49ers announced during the third quarter.
Willis sustained a toe injury and underwent examination in the locker room during halftime.
Willis was replaced by first-year player Chris Borland. Borland is lined up next to Michael Wilhoite, NaVorro Bowman's replacement in the lineup. Bowman is out with a knee injury.
