New York Giants vs. Seattle Seahawks

Two teams going in opposite directions meet on Sunday at CenturyLink Field in Seattle. New York (3-5) has lost three straight and is in danger of missing the playoffs for the third straight season. Seattle (5-3) is riding a two-game winning streak after losing their previous two. In last year's contest, won by Seattle 23-0, Eli Manning threw five interceptions and the Giants offense was held to 181 total yards.

How they've fared

New York Giants

Week 9:Colts 40, Giants 23

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck set a franchise record with his seventh consecutive 300-yard passing game, adding four touchdowns passes in 40-23 rout. Eli Manning passed 359 yards and two touchdowns, but most the yardage came with the outcome long since decided, as the Colts entered the fourth quarter with a 30-point lead. The Giants lost their third straight game after winning their previous three.

Week 8: Bye

Week 7: Cowboys 31, Giants 21

Eli Manning threw three touchdowns in New York's second straight loss to an NFC East team. Tight end Larry Donnell had seven catches for 90 yards, both team-highs, but lost two fumbles. Rookie Odell Beckham Jr., starting in place of the injured Victor Cruz, caught four passes for 34 yards and two touchdowns.

Week 6:Eagles 27, Giants 0

Receiver Victor Cruztore the patellar tendon in his right knee, an injury that will keep him out of action for the remainder of the season. New York accumulated only 12 first downs and 253 yards of total offense. Eli Manning completed 13 of 23 passes for 151 yards, and he was sacked six times.

Seattle Seahawks

Week 9: Seahawks 30, Raiders 24

Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch ran for 67 yards and two touchdowns and overcame a shaky day from quarterback Russell Wilson to hold on to beat the Oakland Raiders. After Seattle, who played without seven starters, took a 24-3 halftime lead, the Raiders clawed within seven points, after a recovery in the end zone on a blocked punt and a Derek Carr one-yard touchdown pass. The loss ensured that the 0-8 Raiders got off to their worst start in more than five decades.

Week 8: Seahawks 13, Panthers 9

Russell Wilson hit tight end Luke Willson on a 23-yard touchdown pass with 47 seconds left, capping a nine-play, 80-yard drive.  It was the 10th game-winning drive in the 4th quarter or overtime for Wilson in his three-year NFL career.

Carolina quarterback Cam Newton again played poorly, throwing for 171 yards. He was also intercepted once and was sacked three times. Carolina went 2-10 on third down and fumbled the ball four times, losing one.

Week 7:Rams 28, Seahawks 26

St. Louis dug deep into its trick playbook, using two fake punts to upset Seattle, beating Seattle for only the third time in past 19 games.

Rams receiver Stedman Bailey took a punt back 90 yards after the Seahawks thought another player was going to field the punt on the opposite side of the field. Punter Johnny Hekker sealed the win with his throw on a fake punt deep in St. Louis territory, which helped the Rams take time off the clock in the fourth quarter.
