Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions

The Bears travel to Detroit for a divisional match-up on Thanksgiving Day. Chicago (5-6) is third in the NFC North, trailing the Lions (7-4). Lions receiver Calvin Johnson has been limited by injury this year, appearing in only eight games, catching 38 receptions and gaining 578 yards. Chicago’s offensive has struggled this season. Quarterback Jay Cutler has completed 66.8 percent of his passes for 2,825 yards and 22 touchdowns, but he has also thrown 12 interceptions.

Lions

Week 12: Patriots 34, Lions 9

Quarterback Matthew Stafford completed 18 of his 46 passes for 264 yards and an interception. Golden Tate had just four catches for 97 yards; Calvin Johnson also tallied just four receptions, gaining 58 yards. The Lions’ only points came off field goals by Matt Prater.

Week 11: Cardinals 14, Lions 6

Drew Stanton threw for 306 yards and two touchdowns in his first start since replacing injured quarterback Carson Palmer, helping Arizona win its sixth straight game. The Cardinals converted eight of 14 third down conversions. The win guaranteed Arizona its best record after 10 games since 1948.

Neither team scored in the second half, and Detroit never got close to scoring again after Matt Prater’s field-goal near the end of the second quarter. Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford threw for only 183 yards and was sacked four times.

Week 10: Lions 20, Dolphins 16

Matthew Stafford found Theo Riddick for an 11-yard touchdown with less than a minute remaining to give the Lions a 20-16 victory. Calvin Johnson played in his first game since Week 5 and recorded seven catches for 113 yards with a touchdown. Reggie Bush returned from an ankle injury but carried only four times. The Detroit defense held the Dolphins to just 228 yards of total offense. Miami's lone touchdown came after a blocked field goal gave the Dolphins the ball at the Lions' 3-yard line.

Week 8: Lions 22, Falcons 21

Matt Prater's 48-yard field goal as time expired gave the Lions their third-straight victory. After trailing 21-0 at halftime, the Lions came all the way back behind Matthew Stafford's two touchdown passes. Golden Tate had seven catches for 151 yards and a touchdown as the Lions won without injured stars Calvin Johnson and Reggie Bush.

Week 7: Lions 24, Saints 23

Matthew Stafford threw two touchdown passes in the final four minutes to rally the Lions from a 23-10 deficit. Golden Tate, who had 10 catches for 154 yards, caught a 73-yard touchdown with 3:38 remaining, and Glover Quin intercepted Drew Brees on the ensuing drive. Corey Fuller caught the game-winning five-yard score with 1:48 left.

Week 6: Lions 17, Vikings 3

The Lions dominated in a win over the division rival Vikings. The Detroit defense intercepted rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater three times. Quarterback Matthew Stafford threw for 185 yards but didn't turn the ball over. Theo Riddick led the way in receiving with five catches for 75 yards and a touchdown.

Week 5:Bills 17, Lions 14

Dan Carpenter won it for Buffalo on a 58-yard field goal with four seconds remaining after Detroit kicker Alex Henery missed all three of his attempts in the game. Golden Tate caught seven passes for 134 yards and a touchdown. Rashean Mathis scored a touchdown for Detroit with a 41-yard interception return.

Week 4: Lions 24, Jets 17

The Lions took a 17-3 halftime lead and held on for the win on the road. Matthew Stafford was 24-of-34 for 293 yards and two touchdowns, and Golden Tate caught eight passes for 116 yards. Detroit did not commit a turnover while also forcing two turnovers from the Jets. 

Week 3: Lions 19, Packers 7

Detroit held the Packers to just 223 yards of offense and held the ball for 38:13. The Lions had a 40-yard fumble return for a touchdown by Don Carey and a safety recorded by DeAndre Levy, who tackled Eddie Lacy in the end zone. Reggie Bush had Detroit’s lone offensive touchdown, a 26-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Week 2:Panthers 24, Lions 7

Detroit turned the ball over three times and did not have a takeaway. The Lions’ lone score came in the third quarter on a one-yard pass from Matthew Stafford to Jed Collins that gave them a 7-6 lead. Stephen Tulloch logged three tackles for loss.

Week 1: Lions 35, Giants 14

Matthew Stafford threw for 346 yards and two touchdowns, both to Calvin Johnson. Johnson finished with 164 yards and two touchdowns on seven receptions. Detroit held the Giants to just 197 yards of total offense.

Bears

Week 11: Buccaneers 13, Bears 21

Jay Cutler went 17-of-27 for 130 yards and one touchdown. Matt Forte’s 89 rushing yard and two touchdowns helped the Bears lift their record to 5-6. Ryan Mundy and Chris Conte each recorded interceptions, while Christian Jones and Tim Jennings each recovered fumbles.

Week 10: Vikings 13, Bears 21

Cutler threw for 330 yards and three touchdowns, helping the Bears to just their second win in seven games. Alshon Jeffery earned 135 yards and a touchdown reception, while Brandon Marshall added 90 yards and two scoring catches. Matt Forte rushed for 117 yards.

Week 9: Bears 14, Packers 55

Jay Cutler threw for 272 yards on 22-of-37 passing, but the Bears allowed Green Bay to score a Lambeau Field-record 55 points. Matt Forte was limited to 54 yards on 17 rushes. The Bears avoided a shutout with Culter’s 45-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Marshall during the third quarter.

Week 8: Patriots 51, Bears 23

Chicago lost for the fourth time in five games in a blowout defeat to New England. The Patriots scored 31 points in the second quarter and held a 45-7 lead at one point in the game. Jay Cutler threw three touchdowns but was picked off once and lost a fumble that was returned by the Patriots for a score. 

Week 7: Dolphins 27, Bears 14

The Bears managed 224 total yards on the day in a home loss to Miami. The loss dropped Chicago to 0-3 on the season at Soldier Field. Jay Cutler threw for 190 yards, a touchdown and an interception and was sacked three times. 

Week 6: Bears 27, Falcons 13

The Bears held the Falcons scoreless in both the second and fourth quarters to win in Atlanta. Both Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall finished with over 100 yards receiving, while Matt Forte scored two touchdowns out of the backfield. Jay Cutler threw for 381 yards and a score. 

Week 5: Panthers 31, Bears 24

The Bears' loss to the Panthers was the second loss in a row for Chicago. Jay Cutler had another two-interception game as the Bears squandered a 24-21 lead late in the fourth quarter following a field goal and a Cam Newton touchdown pass to Greg Olsen

Week 4: Packers 38, Bears 17

The Bears fell to the division rival Packers. Jay Cutler threw for 256 yards and two touchdowns, but he also threw two interceptions in the loss. Matt Forte led the way on the ground with 122 yards on 23 carries. Despite the loss, the Bears offense outgained the Packers on offense 496-358. 

Week 3: Bears 27, Jets 19

On the second play from the line of scrimmage, Bears safety Ryan Mundy intercepted Jets quarterback Geno Smith and ran 45 yards for a touchdown. On offense, quarterback Jay Cutler was 23-of-38 for 225 yards and two touchdowns. He targeted receiver Alshon Jeffrey, who had eight catches for 105 yards. The Bears had just 60 yards on the ground. Running back Matt Forte ran for 33 yards on 13 carries.

Week 2: Bears 28, 49ers 20

After the 49ers went up 17-0, the Bears outscored San Francisco 28-3. 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick threw three interceptions, two of which were recorded by Bears cornerback Kyle Fuller. Cutler was 23-of-34 for 176 yards and four touchdowns. Forte ran for just 21 yards on 12 carries.

Week 1: Bills 27, Bears 20 (OT)

The Bears lost to the Bills in overtime in Week 1 after tying the game at 20 with thirty seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. Cutler threw two touchdowns but had two interceptions as well. He threw for 349 yards. Forte ran for 82 yards on 17 carries.
