Indianapolis Colts vs. Cleveland Browns

Two teams chasing playoff spots in the AFC will meet Sunday when the Cleveland Browns host the Indianapolis Colts at FirstEnergy Stadium. Cleveland is coming off an eventful 26-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills last Sunday. Trailing 20-3 in the fourth quarter, the Browns benched Brian Hoyer for rookie Johnny Manziel, who quickly took the Browns down the field for a score. Hoyer will be back in the starting lineup against the Colts.

Week 13: Colts 49, Redskins 27

Andrew Luck threw for 370 yards and five touchdowns and broke Peyton Manning's franchise record with his 10th 300-yard passing game this season. Luck now has 33 wins in his first three seasons, which is tied for the most by a quarterback since the merger. Washington’s Colt McCoy threw for 392 yards and three touchdowns, but was sacked six times. The Redskins were blown out despite having the ball for 36 minutes. 

Week 12: Colts 23, Jaguars 3

T.Y. Hilton caught four passes for 122 yards, including a 73-yarder in the third quarter to put the game out of reach. Andrew Luck had 253 yards passing with 49 yards rushing, but was sacked five times and lost two fumbles. The Colts defeated their 11th straight AFC South opponents. Blake Bortles threw for 146 yards for Jacksonville, who could only produce 194 yards of offense.

Week 11: Patriots 42, Colts 20

Third-string and undrafted running back Jonas Gray ran for a career-high 201 yards and a franchise-record four touchdowns as the Patriots beat the Colts for the fifth straight time. Tom Brady threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns, and Rob Gronkowski caught four passes for 71 yards for New England, which tallied 501 yards of total offense. Andrew Luck threw for 300 or more yards for the eighth straight game, one short of tying an NFL record. The Colts had only 19 yards rushing for the game.

Week 9: Colts 40, Giants 24

Andrew Luck threw for 354 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Colts past the Giants on the road. Coby Fleener, T.Y. Hilton and Reggie Wayne each had at least 70 receiving yards and a touchdown for the Colts. Jonathan Newsome had two sacks and two tackles for loss. 

Week 8: Steelers 51, Colts 34

Despite Andrew Luck's 400 passing yards and three touchdowns, the Colts fell to a Steelers team led by Ben Roethlisberger's 522 yards and six touchdowns, both franchise records. Indianapolis cornerback Vontae Davis left the game with a knee injury and linebacker Erik Walden exited with an injury to his hip flexor, and neither returned to the game. Luck's sixth straight 300-yard passing game broke a team record he shared with Peyton Manning.

Week 7: Colts 27, Bengals 0

Andrew Luck threw for 344 yards and two touchdowns while the Colts' ground game added 171 yards. The Indianapolis defense held Cincinnati to 135 totals yards, forced 11 punts and sacked Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton three times. Indianapolis recorded its 500th win in team history, moving to 500-444-7 all-time.

Week 6: Colts 33, Texans 28

Andrew Luck threw for 370 yards. It was his fifth 300-yard performance in his first six games of the season. He had just three such games in all of 2013. Indianapolis scored 24 points in the first quarter; coming into the game, Houston had not allowed a first-quarter point. T.Y. Hilton had a career-high 223 receiving yards, one off the team record Raymond Berry set in 1957.

Week 5: Colts 20, Ravens 13

Reggie Wayne had seven receptions for 77 yards and passed Cris Carter for eighth on the NFL’s career receiving yards list with 13,950. Indianapolis had two red-zone turnovers, ending a streak of 11 straight games without one. The Colts won despite committing four turnovers, the first time they’d done so since committing five giveaways in a 30-18 win over the Lions on Oct. 29, 2000.

Week 4: Colts 41, Titans 17

Indianapolis dominated time of possession, holding the ball for 42:21. Reggie Wayne (119) and T.Y. Hilton (105) each had more than 100 receiving yards. Wayne had seven receptions, passing Isaac Bruce for seventh on the all-time NFL list with 1,029.

Week 3: Colts 44, Jaguars 17

Andrew Luck was 31-of-39 for 370 yards and four touchdowns, becoming the first Colts quarterback since Johnny Unitas in 1967 to throw for at least 350 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions while also completing at least 75 percent of his passes. Indianapolis’ 529 total yards were its most in a regular-season game since gaining 567 in a 51-24 win over the Titans December 5, 2004. The Colts did have 536 total yards in a playoff win over the Chiefs on Jan. 4. Against the Jags, Greg Toler had a touchdown on a 47-yard interception return.

Week 2: Eagles 30, Colts 27

Philadelphia won on a 36-yard field goal by Cody Parkey as time expired after Indianapolis lost a 14-point lead. The Colts hosted a Monday night football game for the first time since 2010. It was Indianapolis’ first back-to-back losses since losing 13 in a row to start the 2011 season.

Week 1: Broncos 31, Colts 24

Indianapolis cut a 31-10 deficit to 31-24 in the fourth quarter, but Andrew Luck’s pass to Reggie Wayne on fourth-and-6 from the Denver 39 was broken up. Former Colts quarterback Peyton Manning beat his former team for the first time in two tries. Greg Toler was credited with three passes defended.

Week 13: Bills 26, Browns 10

Johnny Manziel took over for a benched Brian Hoyer in the fourth quarter and led Cleveland to a touchdown, but not much else went right for the Browns. Da'Norris Searcy picked off Hoyer twice and defensive end Jerry Hughes scored on an 18-yard fumble return. The Bills’ 7-5 record is their best record after 12 games since the 2000 season.

Week 12: Browns 26, Falcons 24 

Josh Gordon came back from suspension to catch eight passes on 16 targets for 120 yards, and the Browns overcame three Brian Hoyer interceptions as Billy Cundiff's 37-yard field goal with no time left won it for the Browns. Cleveland racked up 475 yards of offense, and generated only three points in the fourth quarter off of Hoyer’s two picks. Matt Ryan had 273 passing yards and two touchdowns and was sacked three times.

Week 11: Texans 23, Browns 7

J.J. Watt catch a two-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Mallett to become the first defensive lineman to score four times in a season since 1948. He also had three tackles for loss and recovered a fumble. Mallett threw for 211 yards and two touchdowns in his first career start. The defense held the Browns to 65 yards rushing, while Houston piled up 211 yards on the ground, led by Alfred Blue’s 156 yards on 36 carries.

Week 10: Browns 24, Bengals 3

The Bengals had a dismal performance, managing only a field goal against the Browns. They got off to a bad start after the Browns picked off Andy Dalton and scored a touchdown. The Bengals followed with a field goal, but Cincinnati failed to score any more the rest of the game. Dalton finished with two more interceptions and completed only 8-of-26 passes, completing a career-low 31 percent of his throws.

Week 9: Browns 22, Buccaneers 17

The Browns held off the Buccaneers with a fourth quarter touchdown from Brian Hoyer to Taylor Gabriel. Hoyer threw the 34-yard pass in a two-play drive that started at the Buccaneers' 35-yard line thanks to a punt deflection by Cleveland linebacker Craig Robertson. Hoyer had a career-high 300 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. The Browns improved to 5-3, their best start since 2007.

Week 8: Browns 23, Raiders 13

After Cleveland's humiliating loss to the Jaguars in Week 7, the Browns beat the Raiders 23-13 at home. Leading 9-6 at the beginning of the fourth quarter, safety Donte Whitner forced a fumble that was caught and returned 34 yards by cornerback Joe Haden. From there, Hoyer threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Andrew Hawkins to increase Cleveland's lead to 16-6. The Raiders defense held the Browns to only 39 rushing yards, but their offense committed three turnovers. Hoyer finished with 275 yards on 19 completions.

Week 7: Jaguars 24, Browns 6

The Browns were defeated by the Jaguars, who were 0-5 coming into the game. Despite three interceptions by Jacksonville rookie quarterback Blake Bortles, Cleveland's only points came from two field goals in the first half. The Browns' rushing game, which was the third-best in the league, was limited to only 69 yards

Week 6: Browns 31, Steelers 10

In their second game against the Steelers this season, the Browns beat their rival for only the third time in 23 meetings. After their previous four matchups were all decided by three points or less, Cleveland won by a 21-point margin. Ben Tate rushed for 78 yards for two touchdowns while Jordan Cameron had 102 yards on three receptions.

Week 5: Browns 29, Titans 28

The Browns came back from a 25-point deficit to win, the largest comeback in league history by an away team. Cleveland ended its seven-game road losing streak by scoring 26 unanswered points. The Titans failed to put points on the board after a 75-yard touchdown pass from Charlie Whitehurst put them ahead 28-3 in the second quarter. Hoyer had 291 yards for three touchdowns and one interception, Ben Tate rushed for 124 yards and Travis Benjamin caught two touchdown passes.

Week 3: Ravens 23, Browns 21

Following their home-opener win, the Browns lost to the Baltimore Ravens on a 32-yard field goal by Justin Tucker as time expired. Cleveland was plagued by mistakes throughout the game, including a missed field goal, a blocked field goal and a trick play by Johnny Manziel called back due to a penalty. Brian Hoyer was 19-for-25 for 290 yards, but the Browns had only 85 rushing yards with an average of 2.8 yards per carry.

Week 2: Browns 26, Saints 24

The Browns faced another last game-deciding field goal, but this time they were on the winning side. The team won their home-opener for the first time in ten years thanks to Billy Cundiff's 29-yard field goal. Hoyer's final 85-yard drive included a completion to tight end Gary Barnidge on fourth down and a 28-yard pass to Andrew Hawkins with 13 seconds left. Hawkins had six receptions for 70 yards in the win.

Week 1: Steelers 30, Browns 27

Cleveland almost came back from a 27-3 deficit to win the season-opener, but Shaun Suisham's game-winning field goal as time expired gave Pittsburgh the win. Brian Hoyer, who won the starting quarterback job over Johnny Manziel, led the Browns to 24 unanswered points in the second half to tie the game with 11:15 left. Ben Roethlisberger then took the field with 47 seconds left to start a 33-yard drive that ended in Suisham's 41-yard field goal. Hoyer finished the game with 222 yards and one touchdown.
