Broncos receiver Demaryius Thomas says he would be willing to take a "hometown discount" to stay in Denver.

Thomas spoke with Dan Hellie of the NFL Network in a segment which will be aired Friday. Hellie asked Thomas if he would take less money to remain with Broncos when he becomes a free agent after this season.

"Of course, why not?" Thomas replied, according to NFL.com. "Peyton is one of the best in the game, and I've been blessed to have him as my quarterback. I learned so much of him. Denver, of course I gotta take my hats off to them, because they took a chance of drafting me in the first round."

The Broncos selected Thomas with the 22nd pick of the 2010 draft. He has started every game since Peyton Manning arrived in Denver in 2012 and was selected to the Pro Bowl in each of the past two seasons. In 44 games with Manning as his quarterback, Thomas has 274 receptions for 4,119 yards and 34 touchdowns.

Thomas, 27, leads the Broncos in receptions and receiving yards this season. He is second in the NFL in both categories.
