Chargers WR Keenan Allen sustains broken collarbone, ankle injury
San Diego Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen sustained a broken collarbone and an unspecified ankle injury on Sunday against the Denver Broncos and is expected to miss Saturday's game against the San Francisco 49ers, according to Chargers.com.
Allen is leading the team with 77 catches and 783 receiving yards this season. He has caught four touchdowns.
The Chargers are currently 8-6, and if the NFL postseason started today, the team would miss the playoffs. San Diego lost to the Broncos 22-10 at home on Sunday.
The Bolts' second-leading receiver is tight end Antonio Gates, who has 58 receptions for 662 yards and 10 touchdowns this season. Wide receiver Eddie Royal has 48 catches for 589 yards and six touchdowns, while Malcom Floyd has 45 receptions for 777 yards and five touchdowns.
The Chargers finish their season with two road games against the 49ers and Chiefs.
