Broncos interview offensive coordinator Adam Gase
The Denver Broncosannounced on Thursday they were interviewing Adam Gase for their head coaching position.
The Broncos are searching for a replacement for John Fox, with whom the team agreed to part ways earlier this month.
Gase also reportedly interviewed with the 49ers this week but San Francisco decided to hire defensive line coach Jim Tomsula as its head coach.
Gase, 36, just completed his second season as the Broncos' offensive coordinator after previously serving as the team's quarterbacks coach and wide receivers coach.
Other potential candidates to replace Fox include Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak and Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin. According to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, the Broncos will also interview Vance Joseph, who is currently the defensive backs coach for the Cincinnati Bengals.
Denver ranked second in the league in points per game this season after finishing first in the category in 2013.
The Broncos went 12-4 and finished in first place in the AFC West this season before falling to the Indianapolis Colts in the divisional round of the playoffs.
