Mother, girlfriend of Hernandez's alleged victim set to testify
The murder trial of former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez resumes Tuesday with the mother and girlfriend of the man Hernandez is accused of killing set to take the stand, reports the Associated Press.
The trial began last week and was postponed on Monday due to another winter storm hitting the Boston area.
Hernandez, 25, is charged with first-degree murder and other weapons charges over the June 2013 shooting death of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, a semi-professional football player who was dating the sister of Hernandez's fiancée. Hernandez pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Lloyd's mother, Ursula Ward, also is expected to testify on Tuesday. She left the courtroom several times crying last week when prosecutors showed photos of her son’s body.
Hernandez was also charged with murder for a separate 2012 double shooting for allegedly killing two men after one of them spilled a drink on him at a Boston nightclub. He has pleaded not guilty in that case, but prosecutors are not allowed to mention those murders during this trial.
