Shayanna Jenkins, the fiancee of former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez and mother of his daughter, was granted immunity for her testimony in Hernandez's murder trial.

Hernandez, 25, is charged with first-degree murder and other weapons charges in the June 2013 shooting death of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd. A semi-professional football player, Lloyd was dating Jenkins' sister. Hernandez has maintained his innocence.

Prosecutors have alleged that Jenkins disposed of a .45-caliber Glock pistol Hernandez allegedly used to kill Lloyd. Jenkins was facing perjury charges for giving testimony to grand jurors that contradicted the testimony of maids hired to clean Hernandez's home.

Hernandez's trial was postponed on Monday due to snow in the area.

On Friday, the sixth day of the trial, jurors visited Hernandez's home in North Attleboro, Mass., and the industrial park less than a mile away where Lloyd's body was discovered. Jurors were also taken to the street where Lloyd lived and cellphone towers that prosecutors say link Hernandez to Lloyd the night of the murder. Attorneys for Hernandez and the Bristol County District Attorney's Office accompanied the jurors on the visits.
