The Indianapolis Colts have released defensive tackle Ricky Jean-Francois.
The Indianapolis Colts have released defensive tackle Ricky Jean Francois, the team announced on Monday.
Francois signed a four-year, $22 million deal with the Colts in 2013 and still had two years remaining on his contract. He started 23 games in two seasons in Indianapolis after spending four years with the San Francisco 49ers.

The 28-year-old played 60.6 percent of the Colts defensive snaps in his starts last season, registering 34 tackles, three sacks and six passes defended. In 10 career playoff games, he has 1.5 sacks and 13 tackles.
Francois, a former seventh-round draft pick by the 49ers in 2009, now becomes an unrestricted free agent and can sign with any team.
