Report: Raiders to release strong safety Tyvon Branch
The Oakland Raiders are releasing strong safety Tyvon Branch, reports Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.
Branch appeared to confirm the news on Twitter on Thursday night, but the Raiders have yet to announce the move.
Branch had played his entire seven-year career in Oakland after being chosen by the Raiders in the fourth round of the 2008 draft. He appeared in only five games over the past two seasons due to a broken leg in 2013 and a broken foot this past season.

The 28-year-old signed a four-year, $26.6 million contract with the Raiders in 2012 and was set to make $5.5 million next season, according to ProFootballTalk.
In his last near-full season in 2012, Branch made 94 tackles and had one interception in 14 games.
